Cultural significance
KTPP is a pit-head thermal power station beside the Singareni mines of Bhupalpally. Stage I, a 500 MW unit, was synchronised on 31 March 2010. Stage II, a 600 MW unit, was synchronised on 22 October 2015 and began commercial operation in January 2016, bringing the station to 1,100 MW.
