Ursu Dasara and Ravana Vadha at Rangaleela Maidan

Warangal's biggest Dasara gathering at Rangaleela Maidan, Ursu Gutta. On Vijayadashami evening a giant Ravana effigy is burnt (Ravana vadha) with fireworks, watched by crowds from across the tri-city. The Dasara Utsava Committee organises it with the district administration. The exact time has not been announced yet; in 2025 the programme ran in the evening and traffic around Karimabad was diverted from 3 pm, so expect road closures and use the marked parking.

Significance: Vijayadashami marks Rama's victory over Ravana, so his effigy is burnt as the triumph of good over evil.
